In winter 2019, Fauxlie Studio's was the lead designer of a series of events being run at a retreat center in Tvååker, Sweden. The space was being used to host both interactive workshops and intimate dinners, and we were asked to design the space in a way that both functions were possible.

 

Our solution was to create a bespoke, tactile and luxurious floral  pampas cloud in the space using dried flower, as well as tall floral vases, bolstered with chunks of firewood and candles for a sense of nature and intimacy. We also arranged a series of huge gongs at the far end of the room to create a sense of drama and largess to the space.

For the dinner events, we centered the table under our low hanging floral cloud, accessorised with table with rose accents and integrated items such as the gong hammers, singing bowls and so on to ground the table in its surroundings. For seating we created warmth with blankets and cushions sitting atop layered woolen mats and chose benches to give a family style feeling to the event - both intimate and warm
